Musing on Becoming

I’m going to utilise some wisdom in the form of a quote from a non physical entity, first published in the Seth material ( circa 1966) as part of this musing. It connects with a couple of my own life experiences, so I will relate these as well.

The Feeling of Infinity

“The whole gains vivid experience through the life of its parts. The whole needs its segments. The vitality must constantly create itself in new patterns and each new pattern, of course, brings forth new possibilities of development. Infinity has nothing to do with space or time as you know it. Infinity is the state of becoming and can never have an end for it is never completed. Infinity has to do with value fulfilment and the unfolding of ever new possibilities, the exploration of moment points, the travelling through dimensions that ever creates the illusion of time. But since there is no time, what is there to end?”

The experience of projection will give you some small glimmering of infinity. Some folks will be familiar with the term ‘out of body experience’, some will have gone through a ‘near death experience’ where they find themselves looking at their physical body from a distance or from ‘outside’ their body. I became interested in the techniques of projection some years back. Some people have spontaneous experiences, especially from a young age, others like myself take the path of learning a good technique. At the time of engaging with the IAC (International Academy of Consciousness, a research and education organization) I had already qualified as a Hypno-Analyst, so was familiar with the concept of relaxing the body in order to relax the mind. Having attended their Consciousness Development Program at a workshop in London, I experienced my first ‘remote viewing’ experience while attempting to project out of body. I was totally absorbed in the experience, unaware of any physical body, I can relate it now to when I would later learn to scuba dive in the ocean adjacent to Dragon Bay, Port Antonio (story for another day). On returning to waking consciousness, a few sips of water were sufficient to ‘ground’ me in the here and now, as the mild sense of euphoric energy gently subsided.

Another experience of projection came on the flip side of the coin, so to speak. My partners brother had died around two weeks previously, we had travelled for the funeral to pay our respects and bid farewell. Either side of the funeral service we stayed for a few days with the wife of the recently departed. Just prior to the start of one evening meal, the three of us were sitting at the table when I noticed light flashing on my cutlery, then looked up to observe the ceiling light hanging directly over the table moving about, causing the light changing on the metal utensils. Next moment I experienced a surge of warm, powerful energy enter and rise swiftly through my whole body. I was sitting opposite my partner, who I could see was simultaneously experiencing the same effect. Both of us, but interestingly not the wife of the dearly departed, were infused with this energy for a short period. My partner and I gave each other surprised looks, but did say anything at this time out of respect for our sister-in-law sitting with us. Later on that evening, we had retired to the living room area, glass of wine in hand, having a chat. I just happened to be sitting opposite our sister-in-law when I felt the same energy touch me, I was telepathically being asked for permission to to view his wife through my physical eyes by the now non physical brother to my partner. I of course assented, then was aware of my co-habitant mainly through my eyes watering much of the time as well as the warm energy, this time around my head. Our relatives were both lovely people, on the inside as well as looks, both very intelligent yet both had no belief in any existence when the physical body is given up. This belief, to me is a key in having these experiences while we are incarnate.

“Now, in one sense, all selves are projections of the whole or that which is. New universes such as your own constantly come into existence. Systems and planes far different develop and in turn form other systems. Infinity has meaning only in subjective and psychic terms. The physical brain cannot contain the idea of infinity. The concept will not fit in three dimensional terms. Infinity contains all that will ever be known, and, of course, all that will ever be known is known within the spacious present. There is no end to knowledge and experience.”

“If the scales of perception fell from our eyes, we would see everything as it really is, infinite.” – William Blake

  1. Wow.

Way out of my experience, and beyond my ken, but interesting nonetheless.
